My specialist subjects are Numeracy and ICT in the Skills for Life sector, and MS Office applications. I also cover Literacy.
Currently I'm working for a charity delivering IT training to adults with mental health issues. Prior to this I was an IT trainer for several years with a commercial training provider, and graduated in 2008 from Canterbury Christ Church Uni with a Professional Graduate Certification in Education. It's in the post-compulsory sector, that is ages 16+ (FE colleges, adult and community education etc). I'm also a holder of the coveted TAP accreditation, the Institute of IT Trainers' lead qualification for trainers. I've also joined the Institute for Learning as an Affiliate member.
Here's my CV, and here are some comments about my teaching and training from past delegates and students.
Here I aim to give a range of tips in teaching ICT, using ICT in learning and teaching, and to provide a few links to some fantastic resources websites I've found for Skills for Life/Basic Skills. * = still to be fully completed
